Been Quiet, Because I've Been Away

In case you didn't know, I haven't posted in more than a week 'cause I was off in Kauai — woot! Pics are online in my .Mac Web Gallery if you're interested.

Kauai is still very much my favorite of the islands. It's incredibly verdant and still largely underdeveloped. I also was on Oahu for a short bit for the first time since I was 12. It's even worse in Honolulu than before. There's even a Senor Frogs. =(

Photo Galleries Now at My .Mac Site

Apple finally added something really useful and cool to the .Mac service, which I've had for years. The Web Gallery tool is a nice way of sharing photos. I'm going to be putting my photos there for people to view and download. Yes, I know, Flickr and other sites offer the same service, but the .Mac Web galleries are cool in that they:

Offer multiple views:
- Slideshow
- Carousel (just like the album cover view in iTunes)
- Grid
You can download select images or all images in the gallery.
You can upload your own photos and add them to the galleries where I've set the gallery to allow this.

Be Warned: The pages can take a while to load the first time because some of the galleries have lots of photos in them. Be patient, even on your high-speed connections, and they'll load.
